Teaming Up with AI

AI is reshaping how we get things done, together.

Somewhere along the way we stopped asking “Can I do it with AI?” and started asking “Can we do it better together with AI?”

It’s a small shift with big gravity.

Last week was my birthday and my family and friends showed up in the best ways, warm wishes, sweet surprises, a mindful pause.

🙏 If you reached out, thank you.
👋 If you didn’t, well, now it’s definitely too late!

All jokes aside… That human connection buzz carried straight through a short, punchy work week where the Ampersand crew leaned in.

It felt like the same energy in two places, home and work, people showing up for each other and letting AI smooth the edges.

That’s really what’s changing.

Idea refinement is quicker.
Feedback loops are shorter.
The “what are we deciding?” moment hurts less.

AI isn’t replacing the conversation; it’s helping us have a better one.

The best tools are helping us think together across roles, across companies, across life.

Shall we? 👇

🛠️ Tool

The First Draft Pact

  1. One sentence on the goal

  2. Ask AI for a rough version

  3. Edit together for 10 minutes

  4. Let AI log decisions, owners, dates

Use it in a boardroom, an SMB sales huddle, a family plan, or a community meeting. Same payoff: less friction between people, more momentum.

Where does a tiny bit of clarity between people save the most time this week, and how could technology make that easier?

For me, it’s the moments between roles: product to delivery, founder to client, parent to partner, neighbor to committee. When we reduce the friction in those hand-offs, everything else feels lighter.

Sunday morning I was finally able to finish listening ton this incredible podcast episode while doing a little tyding-up around the house.

Thinking about pulling the thread on the relationship the gaming industry has had on the rapid advancement of AI, from the hardware, to the software, to the people and perhaps digging deeper and finding hidden patterns in next week’s Monday Thought.
